"We have found a use for caramel (cajeta) at just about every meal during every season. One of the best ways to enjoy our caramel (cajeta) is on fresh fruit throughout the summer. Drizzle it on strawberries in June and finish the harvest with our seasonal cinnamon caramel on freshly picked apples. Use caramel in or on dessert dishes — on top of apple pie, as a layer in chocolate cakes, drizzled on ice cream. Or for breakfast add to oatmeal, mix in with yogurt or stir into your hot drinks like coffee, tea or warm milk.
Fat Toad Farm is a small family-run goat dairy located in the hills of Central Vermont. Our goal is to work closely with the land and our animals in order to produce high quality, healthy food for our customers. The Prize:
Fat Toad Farm caramel (cajeta), is a creamy sauce, with a silky texture and wonderfully complex flavor. It is made using Fat Toad Farm goat’s milk and organic sugar. The ingredients are boiled for several hours in copper pots until they have reached the perfect consistency. A random winner will be chosen every week, for a total of 4 weeks (meaning 4 prizes will be given out), from the pool of members that entered the contest.
